The Client segment offers Windows Vista comprising Home Basic, Home Premium, Ultimate, Business, Enterprise, and Starter editions; and Windows XP, including Professional, Home, Media Center, and Tablet PC editions. The Server and Tools segment develops software server products, as well as software developer tools, services, and solutions consisting of Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, Silverlight, System Center products, Forefront security products, Biz Talk Server, Microsoft Consulting Services, and Premier product support services. The Online Services Business segment provides online advertising platform; online information offerings; and email and instant messaging services. This segment’s product line comprises Bing; Microsoft adCenter/adExpert; Microsoft Media Network; MSN portals, channels, and mobile services; Windows Live suite of applications and mobile services; Atlas online tools; MSN Premium Web Services; and Razorfish media agency services. Burntsand Signs $340,000 Contract for Microsoft Corporation's SharePoint Implementation Services

Burntsand Inc. announced the signing of a contract for a Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 implementation totaling $340,000. The customer is a university located in the New England area. Burntsand has been engaged to provide services to implement SharePoint for a set of public facing internet sites. These will leverage the web content management features of SharePoint and serve as a platform for future web properties for the university. Specific features include: Creation of a new public website for one of the university's programs; Installation and configuration of the infrastructure to support a large scale SharePoint farm; and Support for internationalization, personalization and a robust content publishing workflow.

Microsoft Selects RKM Information Technology Solutions as Service Provider License Agreement Reseller

RKM Information Technology Solutions has been selected as one of only two Microsoft Service Provider License Agreement Resellers in Venezuela. The Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA) program enables service providers and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) with a hosted offering to license Microsoft products on a monthly basis to provide services and hosted applications to their end customers. Customers who choose these services enjoy worldwide software distribution while having access to the latest versions of their selected software. Additionally, with the hosted solution, customers enjoy a flexible cost structure based on usage. RKM adds this offering to its established Microsoft partner offerings.
