Sept. 29--McDonald's and Starbucks will celebrate National Coffee Day on Sunday, Sept. 29 by giving out free coffee.
The McDonald's offer starts Sunday and extends through the week, to Saturday, Oct. 5. The offer allows customers to get a free small "Premium Roast Coffee," or a medium for 25 cents, or a large for 50 cents, with a limit of one cup per person.
A spokeswoman for Dayton-area McDonald's said Friday that all of the stores in the Miami Valley are participating, although some may limit the special offer to dine-in order or to-go orders.

And locally-based coffee chain Boston Stoker is offering a buy-one-get-one-free on all drinks on Sunday, Henry Dean, Boston Stoker's vice president of operations, said Saturday.
