Oct. 09--Comcast Cable has launched 210 Wi-Fi hotspots in the Kansas City area, providing additional Internet access points to its Xfinity Internet customers.
Spots include the Independence Events Center and Doughboy's Donutville in Raytown, according to Comcast. A map of the locations is available online.
The company said its Xfinity customers also have access through Time Warner Cable's Wi-Fi hotspots in the area, which also are mapped online. Both participate in the Cable WiFi Alliance.
Access to the spots is available by searching xfinitywifi or CableWiFi among the availalble hotspots shown on a mobile device or computer, or by downloading the Xfinity Wi-Fi app.
