Oct. 22--Sculptor Harry Weber will be on hand Thursday for the unveiling of a new bull and bear statue on Washington Avenue that symbolizes the opposing forces of the financial market.
The statue, titled "Forces," was commissioned by Stifel Financial Corp. It already has been placed on the Washington Avenue side of Stifel's headquarters building, which is located at 501 N. Broadway.
Weber's sculptures include a statue of explorers Lewis and Clark on St. Louis' riverfront and of several Cardinals players outside Busch Stadium.
Weber, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay and Stifel chairman, president, and CEO Ron Kruszewski will attend Thursday's noon dedication.
