Oct. 30--RIYADH -- EXCS International Luxury Motor Show, a major international event, has opened in Riyadh.
It is held with the support of Transportation Minister Jabara bin Eid Al-Suraiseri,
The show successfully alternates annually between Riyadh and Jeddah.
The seventh edition is being held at the Kingdom Hall of Four Seasons Hotel. It ends on Oct. 31.
This session has 21 leading automotive companies participating in the event with 13 new models, including the Maserati Quattroporte V6, Nissan GTR, Jaguar XF, Porsche Carrera Turbo S, Range Rover Sport, BMW 4 Series, and Mercedes S , presented for the first time in large cars exhibitions in the Middle East.
Welcoming the participants and customers during opening of the event, Abdullah S. Al-Shamasi, CEO of EXCS International Luxury Motor Show, Specialized Systems for Exhibitions and Conferences, said: "The seventh edition is expected to achieve success for the privileged position this exhibition has among automotive shows in Saudi Arabia and the whole region, especially after receiving the membership of The Association of Exhibition Industry (UFI)."
Al-Shamasi expressed his delight over the success of this edition which added to all previous successes.
It confirms the extent of confidence the automobile companies and the visitors have in this show, he said.
"This year's show is completely different from the past years in terms of the cars that are shown for the first time, and in terms of exhibiting companies that have had a significant role in the success of the exhibition."
The Arabian Gulf Region is well known as a centre of interest in the luxury cars segment, the latest figures have shown a great interest for the luxury car manufacturers in marketing their high end cars, especially in the Saudi market, the biggest market and economy in the region.
As luxury cars reflect the financial and social stature of its owner, more interest in owning these cars that combine luxury, comfort and high performance have become a new trend in the elite class in the region.
A distinctive event in the luxury world, this year, yet again attracted a large number of distinct social personalities.
The 4,114 square meters of the Kingdom Hall at Four Seasons Hotel was abuzz with enthusiastic participation of customers and exhibitors.

The exhibition showcases the Limited Edition cars, the highest class of cars in the leading brand range in the current years with all of their optional equipments and features, in distinctive categories of Sedan luxury cars, High performance sport cars and cars equipped for transport of VIP's such as Stretched Limousines.
The EXCS Luxury car show has became the attraction of the elite of visitors not only in Saudi Arabia, but also from GCC countries and fans of this class of cars, as well as the presence of international figures from automotive industry, as well as princes, businessmen, and lovers of luxury and power.
A range of latest and outstanding features in the luxury car segment was systematically represented at the event.
The show talks about cars featuring an amazing display of designs known for their Sedan and luxury and elegance, in addition to the new level of equipments facilities for entertainment and business at the same time, using the latest Audio-Video features as well as the electronic communications systems, such as the internet, emails and facsimiles, in addition to the navigations systems that use the GPS (Global Positioning System).
A fine exhibition of plush interiors and brilliant exteriors ,in both the big and small car segment with an extraordinary automatic functions and smart and most advanced technologies in cars cylinders, wheels, steering wheels and power capacities. Models crafted in sophisticated carbon fibre body basics and those known for their super power and brilliant performance were sought after displays . Another category in demand featured the 2-seater 4-wheel drive segment supporting convertibles.
The show revolves to showcase the latest and the most advanced features in technologies and brands in the leading automobile industry especially in the luxury and sports cars segment.
Top in line series among car brands as Mercedez, Lexus, BMW, Porsche, Jaguar , Aston Martin , Audi, Bentley, Centennial, Cadillac, Chevrolets Corvette, Ferrari, Genosis, Centennial, ,Infiniti, Isuzu, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lincoln, Lamborghini, Marcos, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Rolls Royce, Skoda, Suzuki, Toyota, Vmotion, Volkswagen, Weismann were on display.
Kingdom Automobile majors including Abdul Latif Jameel, Al Jazeerah vehicles company and others followed their participation.
Etihad, Etisalat (Mobily) and APSCO (Mobil 1) are major sponsors for this year 's show.
