Feb. 13--A 119-year-old Downtown building at 151 Madison, vacant the past 18 years, has been sold.
The building was last a Burger King restaurant that closed in 1996, according to roker Tucker Beck of Crye-Leike Commercial. He represented the seller, Avery Family Trust.
The same building housed the original Anderton's Restaurant and Oyster Bar, which opened in 1945.
The building sold for $175,000 to a buyer represented by the law firm Burch Porter & Johnson. Attorney Scott Crosby of the firm said the deal involved taking a "dilapidated building off-line.''
He said more information about plans for the structure may be available in about a month.
Tracy Speak Paradigm Realty Advisors represented the buyer.
