Cape Cod Mall announces new food options [Cape Cod Times, Hyannis, Mass. :: ]

June 12--HYANNIS -- If you have a sweet tooth or taste for Indian cuisine, Cape Cod Mall's got you covered.

The mall announced Wednesday the arrival of three new food options, which expands the food portion of the mall to 10 percent.

The Cape Cod Cookie Co. which is now open, is a local Cape bakery established in 2008. The cookies are baked fresh throughout the day, and include freshly baked, homemade, drop-style cookies and filled cookie sandwiches. Every cookie is made fresh daily with local ingredients by hand, per order. Besides cookies, the company offers coffee, freshly baked muffins, coffee cakes, hot fried mini donuts, cake and sandwiches.

Another sweet option, arriving soon, is frozen yogurt. Sweet Kiwi, opening in July, is a premium, self-serve frozen yogurt store that offers frozen yogurt in all types of flavors and a variety of fresh fruit toppings, as well as an assortment of dry toppings. In addition, Sweet Kiwi will offer smoothies, bubble teas and freshly made vegetable and fruit juices.

Also, an Indian option, Kebab n' Curry, will open later this month. Its traditional Indian cuisine will offer appetizers, kebabs, freshly baked bread, beverages and sweets.

Mall management believes that the three food additions will excite customers and bring in good reviews.

"We're always looking for new and exciting concepts that we can bring to the shoppers of our center," said Adra Cohen, director of marketing and business development for Cape Cod Mall. "Providing additional options allows us to provide more to consumers."

These additions were added to the mall by popular demand, according to Cohen. She said that mall management keeps track of what the customers ask for in email, on Facebook and at the information center. Cape Cod Cookie and Kebab n' Curry will be located in the food court, while Sweet Kiwi will be located in the Macy's men's wing between Game Stop and Bath & Body Works. All three are moving into previously vacant spots.

Cape Cod Mall isn't stopping with just food additions. It also has added a free package and luggage check. Customers who are shopping with heavy coats or shopping bags -- even luggage -- can now drop off their belongings at Simon Guest Services in the middle of the mall and continue shopping. The service is available during all mall hours.
