June 19--Mortgage technology providers have recently been busy enhancing their loan origination systems through the integration of other services such as automated compliance, pricing engines and mortgage insurance.
Mortgage insurance can be ordered directly through the Encompass management system thanks to an integration with National Mortgage Insurance Corp.,
Encompass users reportedly don't need to leave the LOS and can order mortgage insurance directly from within the application.
A certification program is being rolled out for administrators of Ellie Mae's Encompass. It's a five-day small-group education and certification program that will be held in several U.S. locations.
"The Encompass Administrator Certification Program validates and recognizes Encompass administrators who demonstrate expert-level proficiency in maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting of Encompass," a June 12 statement said. "Successful certification candidates will possess the skills to help organizations accelerate business solutions, increase productivity and leverage the full benefits of their investment in Encompass technology."
Administrators can sign up for the program at www.elliemae.com/certification.
Pleasanton, Calif.-based Ellie, a Mortgage Daily advertiser, said on June 3 that Encompass Flood Service has been integrated into its Total Quality Loan program. The move promises to provide lenders with accurate, efficient and consistent ordering of flood certifications through a single, centralized tool.
The update reportedly enables more than a dozen key elements to be automatically populated while returning a flood certification to the borrower's digital loan file. Both the data and the certification can be transferred directly to investors.
Ellie Mae President and Chief Operating Officer Jonathan Corr noted in the statement that the integration addresses one of the top reasons clients say their loans are suspended: missing flood certifications.
Another Mortgage Daily advertiser, Calyx Software, hooked up with Unisource National Lender Services, a news release this month said. With the new interface, users of the Point LOS can automatically exchange data with the title and escrow provider through the Calyx Network.
A June 10 announcement indicated that INTEGRA Software Systems has integrated Mortech's Marksman into its Destiny LOS platform. The advancement automates loan product and pricing engine integration, which in the past had been a manual process.
Compliance EAGLE has been integrated into Loan Producer, Financial Industry Computer Systems Inc. announced Tuesday. FICS users will benefit from constantly updated regulatory guidelines.
The integration promises to provide automated compliance with the Qualified Mortgage rule, the Truth in Lending Act and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act. Also covered are the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and the Home Ownership Equity Protection Act.
