Since 2006, Kohl's Cares has provided more than $200,000 to NHRMC's child and adolescent injury prevention efforts.
Live Oak Bank presents challenge for hunger
Live Oak Bank has challenged the Wilmington community to raise $25,000 for the Stop Summer Hunger Campaign, promising to match that with a donation to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, according to a news release.
The campaign began June 1 and ends July 31.
Live Oak Bank employees have also worked as volunteers in the food bank's Kids Summer Meals program, which offers children a place to receive breakfast, lunch and enrichment and physical activities.
The volunteers served lunch at the Wilmington Residential Adolescent Achievement Place.
The main office of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is at 3808 Tarheel Drive in Raleigh. The Wilmington Branch is at 1314 Marstellar St.
