July 29--Orange County Commissioners voted this morning to approve financial incentives meant to entice a company that makes automotive DVD and GPS systems to expand here.
The expansion would create about 134 jobs with an average salary of at least $65,559. Those jobs would be in engineering, management, production, program management, customer service and administration, according to county records.
If the company moves forward, it would be eligible for $1.36 million in financial incentives from two economic development programs. Of that, the county agreed to pay $437,200, the local share.
