Aug. 02--Construction is moving fast at The Hub at Milwaukee South.
The Hub is a three-phase shopping center development that will offer a variety of retail and food services. It's located at 7320 Milwaukee Ave., a few blocks north of 82nd Street.
Phase one is set to be completed in September, with two of a potential five suites leased (space can be combined).
Chop Chop has bought one of the suites. Scott Womach of Coldwell Banker Commercial said Chop Chop is a Japanese restaurant that serves its food Mongolian barbecue-style with a fast-food twist. Instead of cooking in front of the customers, it'll be behind the counter so it can be done quicker.
Tea2Go, which opened its first Lubbock location in June, is also set to open shop in The Hub.
Phase two, which will be nearly double the size, has a February delivery date.
