Aug. 18--The Wall Street Journal reported online over the weekend that
Target stores are usually open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays, with hours varying store to store.
The store on Robert Street in West St. Paul is now open until 11 p.m. every day but Saturday, when it closes at midnight.
The WSJ item says Minneapolis-based Target is betting it will draw enough late-hour shoppers to make it "worth keeping the lights on and registers open." The extended hours are expected to last at least through the holiday shopping season.
