Holiday travelers waited a little longer to book their flights this year, likely holding out for better deals and waiting to see if they would still have a job. Travelocity reports that the average advance purchase fell to 55 days for Thanksgiving travel this year.

TUPELO -- Tupelo Regional Airport could get its much sought-after three daily flights if a proposal by Mesaba Airlines gets federal approval. On Wednesday, Mesaba Airlines, which currently provides air service in Tupelo, asked the U.S. Department of Transportation to review its bid.

ATLANTA -- Air travelers nationwide scrambled to revise their plans yesterday after an FAA computer glitch caused widespread cancellations and delays for the second time in 15 months. The Federal Aviation Administration said that the problem, which lasted about four hours, was fixed around 9 a.m., but that it was unclear how long flights would be affected.
