The first of 25 North American antennas to be manufactured by General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies for the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array astronomical observatory was recently installed at the ALMA Operations Site located high in the Chilean Andes.

General Dynamics NASSCO, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, today laid the keel of the fifth ship of its State-class product carriers. NASSCO began constructing the future Evergreen State last May. The ship will be double-hulled and have a cargo capacity of approximately 331,000 barrels.

BAE Systems said Monday it formed a team to compete for a Navy contract to help commanders make better decisions during combat operations. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The BAE-led team includes General Dynamics Corp., Sun Microsystems Inc., Space Dynamics Laboratory, and others.
