Schindler Elevator Corp. announced Thursday that, despite some speculation to the contrary, the company is not leaving its plant, and plans to stay in the Gettysburg area. The company's 1200 Biglerville Road facility -- which is owned by CBS/Viacom and leased to Schindler -- has been listed for sale, but Schindler officials say that does not affect the company's operations.
