AEP Industries Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended January 31, 2013. For the period, the company reported net sales of $267.142 million against $267.664 million a year ago. Operating income was $13.681 million against $5.387 million a year ago. Income before provision for income taxes was $10.185 million against $0.635 million a year ago. Net income was $6.910 million or $1.23 per basic and diluted share against $0.354 million or $0.06 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $17.885 million against $15.250 million a year ago. The decrease in Net Sales were the result of a decrease in sales volume of 0.8% partially offset by a 0.4% increase in average selling prices and improved sales mix. CapEx was around $14.5 million. The company provided CapEx guidance for the year 2013. For the year CapEx is expected to be in the area of $35 million.

The acquisition of Webster added an additional $114,300,000 in net sales during fiscal 2012.
