Atlas Copco Receives Compressed Air Equipment Orders in Kazakhstan

Atlas Copco AB has won orders for compressed air and gas purification equipment to be delivered to the Tengizchevroil Future Growth Project and Wellhead Pressure Management Project. The total order value is close to EUR 40 million (SEK 370 million). Atlas Copco was selected to manufacture and deliver air compressors, cooling systems and air and gas purification packages to be installed as part of the project to expand production at the Tengiz oil and gas field in western Kazakhstan. The orders were placed in second quarter of 2014, and delivery is scheduled for early 2016.

Atlas Copco unveils the latest GA 90(+) -160 range of oil-injected rotary screw compressors, designed to reach new productivity levels and reduce operating costs. The patented screw element is packaged in a new enhanced design which improves the performances by up to 5% compared to the previous generation. New innovative features help to increase the availability and durability of the compressors. The new GA 90(+) -160 range is the result of solid industry knowledge combined with innovative features. With their high-cooling capacity, GA air compressors can perform in all demanding operating conditions and up to 55degC/131degF. The intelligent control and monitoring systems, the Elektronikon(R) and the SmartLink(R), offer many possibilities to optimize the compressor operation and further increase the savings. To reduce the operating costs, the new range offers longer service intervals and reduced maintenance time. The GA 90(+) -160 oil-injected rotary screw compressor range includes energy savings features like the IE3 motor, the no-loss water separator drain, the energy recovery module and the in-build dryers. The unique integrated dryer concept delivers clean, dry air to improve the process' reliability and increases the energy savings. With the reduced floor space requirement, and the all-inclusive package, the installation costs are considerably reduced.

Atlas Copco AB Announces Audited Consolidated and Parent Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2014

Atlas Copco AB announced audited consolidated and parent earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company reported that revenues increased to SEK 23,348 million against SEK 21,843 million last year. Operating profit was SEK 4,339 million against SEK 4,533 million last year, including change in provision for share-related long-term incentive programs of negative SEK 43 million against positive SEK 50 million last year. Profit before tax amounted to SEK 4,174 million against SEK 4,279 million last year. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was SEK 3,204 million or SEK 2.64 basic and diluted per share against SEK 3,133 million or SEK 2.56 diluted per share a year ago. Net cash from operating activities was SEK 3,617 million against SEK 3,975 million a year ago. Investments in property, plant and equipment was SEK 358 million against SEK 275 million a year ago. For the six months, on consolidated basis, the company reported revenues of SEK 44,771 million against SEK 42,070 million a year ago. Operating profit was SEK 8,099 million against SEK 8,689 million a year ago. Profit before tax was SEK 7,776 million against SEK 8,324 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was SEK 5,958 million or SEK 4.90 diluted per share against SEK 6,119 million or SEK 5.00 diluted per share a year ago. Return on equity as on June 30, 2014 was 31% against 40% as at June 30, 2013. Net cash from operating activities was SEK 6,006 million against SEK 6,240 million a year ago. Investments in property, plant and equipment was SEK 702 million against SEK 579 million a year ago. For the quarter, on parent basis, the company reported operating loss of SEK 87 million against SEK 26 million a year ago. Profit before tax was SEK 322 million against SEK 1,601 million a year ago. Profit for the period was SEK 281 million against SEK 1,679 million a year ago. For the six months, on parent basis, the company reported operating loss of SEK 164 million against SEK 87 million a year ago. Loss before tax was SEK 43 million against profit before tax of SEK 1,321 million a year ago. Loss for the period was SEK 59 million against profit for the period of SEK 1,570 million a year ago.
