BlackBerry Limited announced appoints Dr. Sandeep Chennakeshu as a president of BlackBerry Technology Solutions Business Unit. Sandeep Chennakeshu has been engaged in research, product development, IP creation/licensing and general management in the wireless, electronics and semiconductor industry for over 25 years, including serving as President of Ericsson Mobile Platforms and CTO of Sony-Ericsson. He is a named inventor on 73 patents and a Fellow of the IEEE.

BlackBerry Limited (TSX:BB) seeks acquisitions. BlackBerry announced that it will acquire Secusmart GmbH. BlackBerry’s Managing Director Sunil Lalvani said the company is open to acquisitions in the enterprise security solutions space. "We continue to focus on growth through organic development, strategic partnering and acquisitions," he added.
OIM Colombia Selects Blackberry Enterprise Service 10 as its Mobile Enterprise Mobility Platform of Choice

BlackBerry Limited has announced that the Colombian office of the International Organization for Migration, or OIM, has selected BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10, or BES10, as its mobile enterprise mobility platform of choice. OIM Colombia is the first OIM country of the 155 member organization to implement the BES10 multi-platform Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution. The group's employees use BlackBerry 10 smartphones connected to BES10 to ensure the high level of productivity and security. Customers are realizing the benefits and cost savings of the recently launched BlackBerry program, which provides free license migration and support for BlackBerry customers to move from BES5 and other MDM platforms to BES10. Since the program launched on March 31, 2014, more than 1.2 million BES10 client access licenses have been issued to customers worldwide. The enterprises participating in the program represent a cross-section of industries from financial services and healthcare, to telecommunications and government organizations. Migrations to BES10 include customers using other MDM vendors such as AirWatch, MobileIron and Good Technology. The BlackBerry EZ Pass migration program is designed to help customers take full advantage of the BES10 multi-platform solution by seamlessly migrating from BES5 and includes access to BlackBerry's technical support services.
