Henry Fischel-Bock to Leave as Barclays's Head of UK Wealth Management

Barclay's head of UK and European wealth management Henry Fischel-Bock is to leave the bank. Fischel-Bock is understood to have lined up another role. His career in wealth management spans over 30 years, having joined Barclays in 2010 from Miami-based International Planning Group. His departure follows Barclays Wealth & Investment Management chief Peter Horrell's decision to step down from the business at the end of the year.
Barclays PLC Announces Executive Changes

Barclays PLC has appointed Gary Posternack as its new global head of mergers and acquisitions, and named Reid Marsh as co-head of investment banking in Asia-Pacific, Posternack, had previously been head of mergers and acquisitions for the Americas and will continue to be based in New York. He joined Barclays in 2008 when the company acquired the bulk of Lehman Brothers' North American operations amid the financial crisis. Meanwhile, Reid Marsh, the vice chairman of investment banking and chairman of Barclays global industrials group, will reportedly become co-head of Barclays' investment bank for the Asia-Pacific region. He will relocate from London to Hong Kong. Marsh, who joined the bank in 2010 from Citigroup, will replace Matthew Ginsburg, who stepped down in May as head of the Asia investment bank. Mark Warham, head of mergers and acquisitions in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is said to be leaving Barclays for a senior banking role elsewhere. He will reportedly be succeeded by Matthew Ponsonby, who will take on responsibility for the EMEA region, in addition to his current role as global chief operating officer of investment banking. Ponsonby had previously been co-head of European M&A until 2013, when he was named global chief operating officer of investment banking.

Duluth Metals Limited (TSX:DM) is evaluating alternatives. The company announced that its Board of Directors has initiated a process to review potential strategic alternatives. Duluth Metals has engaged Barclays PLC (LSE:BARC) to assist in the process. Executive Chairman of Duluth Metals, Christopher Dundas stated, “We are pleased to enlist the Barclays global mining team to assist the Board in examining and advising us on all our strategic alternatives.”

Barclays and MSCI Inc. Announce Agreement to Launch New Green Bond Index

Barclays and MSCI Inc. have announced an agreement to launch a new Green Bond Index, to expand their Environmental, Social and Governance, or ESG, fixed income benchmark index family launched in June 2013. The Green Bond Index is intended to reflect the fixed income market funding projects and initiatives with direct environmental benefits. These indexes may serve as a benchmark for dedicated Green Bond funds as well as informational measures of Green Bond risks and return. The Green Bond Index will be available for institutional clients to license for their index-linked investment products, such as Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), separately managed accounts, and structured products.
