Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited Approves Interim Dividend for the Year Ended June 30, 2014, Payable on September 12, 2014

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited announced that at the board of directors meeting held on August 13, 2014 it has approved the interim dividend payment at THB 0.30 per share which was determined from the operating results of the first half period of the year ended June 30, 2014. The interim dividend will be paid from dividends received from the company's subsidiary. Such dividends are appropriated from the profits which were subject to 20% corporate income tax. Therefore, recipients are subject to withholding tax according to rules and conditions of the Revenue Code. However, recipients who are natural persons shall be entitled to a tax credit in accordance with Section 47 bis of the Revenue Code. In this regard, the Board set the record date for the right to receive the dividend on August 28, 2014 and the share register book shall be closed on August 29, 2014 for TSD to collect the shareholders' names in compliance with Section 225 of the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535. Additionally, the dividend payment will be made on September 12, 2014.

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited announced consolidated and company earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company reported net profit was THB 3,546,242,000 or THB 0.48 per share against THB 1,635,797,000 or THB 0.22 per share a year ago. The company's revenues from sales was THB 105,835 million against THB 93,194 million a year ago. The increase of sales was from Thailand operational sales growth of 10% as well as from international operations of 16%. The increase in net profit was from efficiency of animal husbandry and the average meat price which was higher than that of the same period of the previous year. Thus, gross profit margin of the second quarter of 2014 increased from 9% to 14%. For the six months, on consolidated basis, the company reported net profit of THB 5,596,051,000 or THB 0.76 per share, compared to THB 2,662,133,000 or THB 0.36 per share, a year ago. For the second quarter, the company reported net profit of THB 1,759,900,000 or THB 0.23 per share, compared to THB 1,238,914,000 or THB 0.16 per share, a year ago. For the six months, the company reported net profit of THB 2,869,984,000 or THB 0.37 per share, compared to THB 2,532,389,000 or THB 0.33 per share, a year ago.
