To update on proposed sale of shareholding in Xchanging Transaction Bank to joint Enterprise Partner Deutsche Bank by Xchanging plc
Deutsche Bank announced that Jerry W Miller has been appointed head of asset & wealth management Americas effective immediately. Miller is based in New York and reports to Michele Faissola, head of asset & wealth management. He joins the Deutsche asset & wealth management executive committee and will chair the division's America's executive committee. Miller will also join the Deutsche Bank North America executive committee, led by Jacques Brand, chief executive officer of Deutsche Bank North America.
Deutsche Bank has named Scott Lampard as Chief Country Officer for Canada, effective July 1, 2013. Lampard will retain his role as Head of Markets for Canada. He will now report to Jacques Brand, CEO of North America and member of the Group Executive Committee and will continue to report to Jeffrey Mayer, Head of Corporate Banking and Securities, North America. Paul has been instrumental in the expansion and diversification of Deutsche Bank's Canadian business and client relationships and leaves the franchise very well positioned for future growth and development under Scott's leadership.
Deutsche Bank has appointed Philip Lee as its chief country officer for Singapore and vice-chairman for South-east Asia effective from July 8, 2013. Mr. Lee, who used to be the Singapore face of US investment bank JP Morgan, will take on a much bigger role in his new job. At Deutsche Bank, Europe's largest bank, Mr. Lee will work across all its business divisions to develop client activities in South-east Asia. Lee takes over as chief country officer for Singapore from Ronny Tan. Mr. Tan will continue as vice-chairman, Deutsche Bank, Singapore, after playing an important role in the development of the bank's Singapore franchise for 12 years. Mr. Lee will report to Gunit Chadha and Alan Cloete, co-chief executive officers, Asia Pacific, and members of the group executive committee. Mr. Lee was previously with JP Morgan from 1995, where he most recently held the roles of senior country officer, Singapore, and chief executive, South-east Asia investment banking.
Deutsche Bank AG announced the appointment of Harold Leenen, as the regional head of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) for the Middle East and Africa (MEA). In his new role, Leenen will oversee the GTB business activities in the wider region of the Middle East and the whole of Africa, in an effort to further deepen Deutsche Bank's business links with the African continent. He will be tasked with building on GTB's existing success and actively pursuing further growth opportunities in the region. Leenen will be based in Dubai and report into Ashok Aram, CEO of Deutsche Bank MENA. He will be a member of Deutsche Bank's MENA Executive Committee. He takes over from Sriram Iyer, who will relocate to London as global head of Deutsche Bank's Trust & Agency Services group, which provides trustee, agency, escrow and related services to corporate clients, government agencies and financial institutions around the world.
