Enbridge has agreed to pay about USD 6.8 million to settle a class-action lawsuit. Enbridge has estimated cleanup costs to be about USD 1.2 billion, including more than USD 551 million on response personnel and equipment and USD 227 million on environmental consultants.

Enbridge Inc. Announces Long-Term Edmonton Office Plans

Enbridge Inc.'s 2,500 Edmonton workers currently accommodated in six downtown locations will be consolidated into two of the newest and tallest buildings in Edmontons downtown core. The company confirmed tenancy agreements in the existing 36-storey Manulife Place on 102nd Avenue between 101st and 102nd Streets and in the new Kelly Ramsey Tower on 102nd Avenue between 101st and 100A Street, which is scheduled to be completed in 2016. The buildings will be connected via a new pedway system across 101st Street. Once fully in occupation of the negotiated lease space in the towers, Enbridge will be become the large tenant in both buildings. As one of the large private-sector tenants in downtown Edmonton, Enbridge said it has experienced significant growth and expansion in the downtown core during the past decade, having grown to nearly 650,000 square feet of leased space from 170,000 square feet. It currently leases all or portions of six office towers in downtown Edmonton, making the company among the largest private sector tenants in the central business district.

Specifically, it provides for advance notice of nominations of directors in circumstances where nominations of persons for election to the Board of Directors are made by Shareholders. The Advance Notice Bylaw is intended to provide a transparent and fair process for nominating directors of the Company in connection with any annual or special meeting of Shareholders.
