Frontier Communications Corp. Reorganizes Ohio and West Virginia Operations; Announces Executive Changes

Frontier Communications Corp. announced that it has reorganized its Ohio and West Virginia operations into its new Mid-Atlantic Region.
The company said Michael Flynn, current president of the company's Illinois operations, will become president of the new region, which will be headquartered in Charleston. Flynn will oversee all operations, residential and commercial sales and customer service functions for the region. With roughly 2,800 employees, the new Mid-Atlantic region will be among the large in Frontier's 27-state service territory. Flynn succeeds Ken Arndt, who has been named president of the company's new East Region, which covers New York and Pennsylvania and will include Connecticut, once Frontier completes its acquisition of AT&T's wireline business and statewide fiber network in that state. The company also said Dana Waldo, the senior vice president and general manager for Frontier West Virginia, and Dave Davidson, senior vice president and general manager for Frontier Ohio, will continue in their respective roles.

Frontier Communications Corporation announced that Eric Barie, currently Vice President of Marketing for Frontier's Central Region, has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager of Illinois operations, comprising seven markets. Based in Frontier's state headquarters in Bloomington-Normal, Barie will oversee all operations, residential and commercial sales, and customer experience functions. Most recently, Barie was Vice President of Regional Marketing for Frontier's Central Region, leading marketing operations across 24 markets in six states to drive sales of products and services. Previously, he was Director of Marketing for Frontier's Midwest Region and before that, Senior Marketing Manager for FairPoint Communications.

Frontier Communications Corporation announced that Michael C. Flynn, currently President of the company's Illinois operations, has been named President of the newly formed Mid-Atlantic Region, comprising Ohio and West Virginia. The Mid-Atlantic region headquarters will be based in Charleston, W. Va. Flynn will oversee all operations, residential and commercial sales and customer experience functions for the region, among the large in Frontier's 27-state service territory. Flynn succeeds Ken Arndt, named as President of the company's new East Region comprising New York and Pennsylvania. Upon completion of the acquisition of AT&T's Connecticut wireline business and statewide fiber network, Connecticut operations will become part of the East Region. Dave Davidson, Senior Vice President & General Manager for Frontier Ohio and Dana Waldo, Senior Vice President & General Manager for Frontier West Virginia, will continue in their respective roles. Most recently, as President of Frontier Illinois, Flynn led operations in 552 towns across the state and oversaw broadband expansions that increased availability from 60% in 2010 to 85% of households Frontier serves. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager for Frontier's Midwest operations, responsible for all customer support and operational aspects for Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska, and Vice President, Field Operations, for the Great Lakes area including Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

Frontier Communications Corporation announced that Kenneth Arndt has been appointed President of its new East Region comprising New York and Pennsylvania. Arndt will be based in New Haven, Connecticut and report to Daniel J. McCarthy, President and Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Arndt served as Region President and was responsible for operations in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Going forward, West Virginia and Ohio will constitute the company's new Mid-Atlantic Region. Arndt joined Frontier in October 2003 as State Vice President and General Manager for its then seven-state Southeast Territory.
