Crooke transitions to the division's corporate team after serving as news director at WXIA-TV in Atlanta, GA and as regional news executive. Crooke will join Michael Valentine in leading news functions for Gannett Broadcasting's 46 stations. Crooke has been with Gannett since 2002 when she joined WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, NY as vice president of news. Prior to her time with Gannett, Crooke was news director at WNDU-TV in South Bend, IN. She's also worked as assistant news director at WHAS-TV in Louisville, KY, which is now owned by Gannett, and as a producer at WOKR-TV in Rochester, NY and WTEN-TV in Albany, NY.

Gannett Co., Inc. named Rob Mennie as president and general manager of WTLV/WJXX in Jacksonville, FL. Mennie has been part of the Gannett Broadcast leadership team since 1997. Most recently, Mennie has been senior vice president of news for Gannett Broadcasting. Prior to that, he was vice president of news at WUSA-TV in Washington, DC. He joined WUSA as news director in 1995. Mennie came to Washington from WDTN-TV in Dayton, OH, where he also served as news director. Prior to WDTN-TV, he was assistant news director at Gannett-owned KPNX-TV in Phoenix from 1993 to 1994. Mennie first joined Gannett 25 years ago as executive news producer for WXIA-TV in Atlanta, GA.

Thomas Claybaugh Names Thomas Claybaugh as President and Publisher of Gannett Central New York Media

Gannett Co., Inc. announced Thomas Claybaugh as the new president and publisher of Gannett Central New York Media, where he will oversee the Press & Sun-Bulletin in Binghamton, the Star-Gazette in Elmira and The Ithaca Journal effective September 1, 2014. Claybaugh will succeed longtime Gannett executive Sherman Bodner, who is retiring at the end of the month. Bodner has been with Gannett for nearly 40 years. Claybaugh is also a Gannett veteran, starting with the company 25 years ago. He returns to Gannett Central New York Media, after serving as the general manager of the Delmarva Media Group, which consists of nine publications and websites, including The Daily Times in Salisbury, MD. Before the Delmarva Media Group, Claybaugh spent the previous six years as vice president of sales and marketing for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, where he was responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing, including circulation sales. Claybaugh has also served as advertising director for the Press & Sun-Bulletin.
