Honda Introduces In-Car Connectivity with New Display Audio Touch-Screen Interface and Next Generation Hondalink(TM) Technology

Honda introduced the next generation of connected-car technology to meet the evolving needs of tech-savvy, always-connected consumers: Honda Display Audio and HondaLink(TM). Together these technologies represent the most advanced information and media connectivity package ever offered by Honda. Additionally, the 2014 Civic equipped with Display Audio marks Honda's first factory installed integration of Apple's Siri Eyes Free mode with Siri operation available directly through the steering wheel-mounted controls when a compatible iPhone is paired via Bluetooth(R). Display Audio touchscreen brings smartphone-like functionality inside the vehicle. Next gen HondaLink(TM) makes integrated navigation more affordable and intuitive with smartphone-powered navigation app. Four specialty HondaLink apps include: Connect App, Navigation App, Aha(TM)App and Launcher App.
Honda Motor Company to Launch New Jazz in India

Honda Motor Company is launching its new Jazz in India. The vehicle is to arrive at Indian dealerships in mid-2014 and is likely to be priced in the range of INR 550,000 to INR 800,000. The model will be available with a choice of a new 1.5-Litre Diesel i-DTEC engine. and a 1.2-Litre i-Vtec petrol engine.

Honda reported Russian sales results for the ten months ended October 2013. Sales of Honda in the Russian market were 20,539 vehicles, it is more by 16% than the year before. Now the company is observing an increase in sales of cars on the background of a general decline in the market. It was possible, first of all, due to the launch of new models CR-V 2.0, CR-V 2.4, Accord and Crosstour. At the same time the driver of sales growth was crossover CR-V, sales of which increased by 44% to 14,460 vehicles.
Honda Motor Company to Develop Convertible Version of Acura NSX

Honda Motor Company reported it is developing a convertible version of its upcoming Acura NSX sports car. The vehicle is likely to be equipped with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, coupled with an electric hybrid system, and will also feature all-wheel drive. The automaker has not decided if the vehicle will be offered with a hard top or a soft top, and it is still in the early design stage. The production version of the vehicle is to be launched at the 2015 Detroit auto show.

Honda Motor Corp., at the Los Angeles Motor Show, unveiled the prototype of a fuel cell vehicle that it plans to release in Japan and the United States in 2015. The major Japanese automaker has succeeded in significantly downsizing batteries for the vehicle in a bid to reduce production costs while improving their performance. A decade ago, a fuel cell vehicle was believed to cost JPY 100 million, but now these vehicles are coming closer to widespread use.
