International Rectifier Announces Introduction of IRFH4257D FastIRFET Dual Power MOSFET Housed in High Performance 4X5 PQFN Power Block Package

International Rectifier, announced the introduction of the IRFH4257D FastIRFET dual power MOSFET housed in a high performance 4x5 PQFN power block package. The new package option expands the power block family’s capability to lower power for compact designs in 12V input DC-DC synchronous buck applications including advanced telecom and netcom equipment, servers, graphic cards, desktop, Ultrabook and notebook computers. The IRFH4257D features IR’s latest generation silicon and proprietary packaging technology which offers excellent thermal performance, low on-state resistance (RDS(on)) and gate charge (Qg). These features deliver superior power density and lower switching losses in a compact 4x5 power block. The IRFH4257D is qualified to industrial grade and moisture sensitivity level 2 (MSL2), and features an environmentally friendly, lead-free and RoHS compliant bill of materials.
International Rectifier Introduces Rugged AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 Automotive-Qualified 600V IGBTs for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles

International Rectifier announced the introduction of the AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 automotive-qualified 600V IGBTs optimized for small auxiliary motor drive applications including air conditioning compressors for electric and hybrid vehicles. Leveraging IR's COOLiRIGBT(TM) platform and co-packaged with a soft recovery diode, the 24A AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 feature low VCE(ON) to reduce power dissipation and maximum junction temperature of 175degC to achieve extremely high power density. Available in a standard length lead TO-247 and long lead TO-247 package, the new devices also offer a minimum 6s short circuit rating at 150degC. A square reverse bias safe operating area (SRBSOA) provides additional ruggedness. The devices are designed with a positive VCE(ON) temperature coefficient for easy paralleling for higher power applications. The AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 deliver a rugged, efficient cost-effective solution to meet the demand of 600V motor drive applications used in electric and hybrid vehicles. IR's automotive IGBTs are subject to dynamic and static part average testing combined with 100% automated wafer level visual inspection as part of IR's automotive quality initiative targeting zero defects. The new devices are all environmentally friendly and assembled with IR's automotive grade bill of materials which are lead-free and RoHS compliant. Pricing begins at USD 1.51 for the AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 each in 100,000-unit quantities. Production orders are available immediately.
International Rectifier Announces Introduction of IRL6297SD Dual N-Channel DirectFET(R) MOSFET

International Rectifier announced the introduction of an extensive portfolio of devices featuring the company's latest low-voltage MOSFET silicon for lithium-ion battery protection applications including the IRL6297SD dual N-channel DirectFET(R) MOSFET. Featuring very low on-state resistance (RDS(on)) to significantly cut conduction losses, the new power MOSFETs are available as 20V and 30V devices in N- and P-Channel configurations. Designed with a maximum gate drive from 12Vgs, these devices are ideal for battery protection circuits with two cells in series. The IRL6297SD offers two 20V N-Channel MOSFETs in a common drain configuration packaged in a compact, thermally efficient DirectFET(R) Small Can package. International Rectifier announced the introduction of its uHVIC family of general purpose high-voltage and low-voltage integrated circuits that simplifies power system development by offering easy-to-implement building blocks for frequently used circuit elements. The new family of uHVIC(TM) devices includes the IRSxx752L 100V, 200V and 600V single channel high-side drivers; the IRS25751L high-voltage start-up IC; the IRS44273L single channel low-side driver IC; the IRS2505L PFC boost driver IC; and the IR25750L current sensing IC. The uHVIC(TM) family is a tool kit of ICs for common circuit elements in switched mode power (SMPS) electronics. The family offers engineers simple, flexible ICs with which to conveniently design and innovate. The uHVIC(TM) family utilizes IR's proven high-voltage IC technology to realize multiple functions and integrate robust protective features in an SOT23 package. The family is available in a small 5 lead or 6 lead SOT23 package, offering a cost effective and easy to implement solution, simplifying design and reducing time to market.
International Rectifier Corporation Expands StrongIRFET MOSFET Portfolio to Include 75V Devices

International Rectifier Corporation announced the expansion of its StrongIRFET MOSFET portfolio to include 75V devices for industrial applications including power tools, Light Electric Vehicle, or LEV, inverters, DC motor drives, Li-Ion battery pack protection, Hot-Swap and Switched Mode Power Supply, or SMPS, secondary-side synchronous rectification. The new family of 75V StrongIRFET power MOSFETs features ultra-low on-state resistance (Rds(on)) for improved performance in low frequency applications, very high-current carrying capability, soft body diode, and 3V typical threshold voltage to improve noise immunity. The family is headlined by the IRFS7730-7P device in a rugged 7-pin D2pak offering an RDS(on) max of only 2mÙ and a peak current of 240A. The devices are also offered in through-hole packages.
