JetBlue Doubles Flights from TIA to Washington

JetBlue Airways announced that it will add a second daily route connecting Tampa International Airport to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., starting July 2. The new schedule of flights will allow travelers to spend just a few hours at either destination. Here's the new schedule: The first flight will leave Tampa at 8:42 a.m. and arrive in Washington at 11 a.m. Then it will leave Washington at 11:44 a.m. and arrive in Tampa at 2 p.m. The second flight of the day will depart Tampa at 1:41 p.m. and land in Washington at 4 p.m., then leave Washington at 5:45 p.m. and arrive in Tampa at 8:06 p.m. The schedule for Saturday flights will be slightly different, but those times were not released. JetBlue said it was able to offer another Tampa-Washington daily flight because it acquired additional takeoff and landing rights that were relinquished in the merger of American Airlines and US Airways.

JetBlue Airways Corporation added a once daily nonstop service from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. On May 1, additional nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale will commence, increasing JetBlue's offering to two daily flights between the U.S. and Trinidad and Tobago. To celebrate the airline's newest route, flights from New York to Port of Spain are on sale from $169 one way (a) for travel between March 13 and June 12, 2014 (blackout dates April 9, 2014 through April 29, 2014). Tickets must be booked by March 3, 2014. Port of Spain is the 84th city in JetBlue's route network. The nonstop service to Port of Spain from Fort Lauderdale starts on May 1, the same day the airline will also launch Fort Lauderdale - Montego Bay, Jamaica; Fort Lauderdale - Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; and Newark - Santiago, Dominican Republic.
