JetBlue Airways to Launch Service from Pittsburgh to Fort Lauderdale Hollywood

JetBlue Airways will launch a new route to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) on October 29, 2014. The service will complement JetBlue's existing route from Pittsburgh to Boston Logan International Airport, and is one of five upcoming routes announced for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood in 2014/15. JetBlue currently operates 26 nonstop routes out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, with five more new routes already announced to begin in 2014/15. On May 1, JetBlue will add three new nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood to Montego Bay (Jamaica), Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). Next year, the airline also intends to launch a nonstop route to Albany, NY. JetBlue Airways Corporation reported preliminary traffic results for the month and year to date ended March 2014. For the month, the company’s revenue passenger miles were 3,238,709,000 against 3,208,906,000 a year ago. Available seat miles were 3,819,426,000 against 3,682,064,000 a year ago. Load factor was 84.8% against 87.1% a year ago. Revenue passengers were 2,755,454 against 2,745,097 a year ago.
For the year to date, the company's revenue passenger miles were 8,661,805,000 against 8,505,557,000 a year ago. Available seat miles were 10,419,118,000 against 10,140,374,000 a year ago. Load factor was 83.1% against 83.9% a year ago. Revenue passengers were 7,332,695 against 7,299,517 a year ago.
JAL and JetBlue Expand Codeshare Cooperation

Japan Airlines and JetBlue Airways have agreed to further expand their codeshare cooperation starting 30 March 2014, resulting in an increase in the number of JAL codeshare flights available on U.S. domestic routes operated by JetBlue. Sales and reservations for the newest codeshare flights will be available from 25 March 2014. JAL will launch a double daily service on its Tokyo (Narita) - New York (JFK) route from 30 March 2014, with the new second daily operation from Narita scheduled to arrive at JFK in the early evening. To further improve the convenience for transit passengers at New York, the latest codeshare flights on JetBlue deliver same-day connections to multiple U.S. cities. Additionally, JAL and JetBlue will increase the number of codeshare routes between Boston and select U.S. cities, and JAL will also introduce new codeshare flights between San Francisco and select U.S. cities to further enhance JAL's overall U.S. network.
JetBlue Airways to Launch Nonstop Service Between Hyannis and New York

JetBlue Airways has announced that it will launch a seasonal nonstop jet service between Barnstable Municipal Airport in Hyannis, Massachusetts and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. The Capital of the Cape will be the airline's 86th destination. Hyannis also marks JetBlue's 64th nonstop route from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. JetBlue will be the only airline connecting New York City with one of America's most popular summer destinations, offering seasonal service with one daily flight between June 26 and September 9, 2014. JetBlue also serves the Cape and Islands with nonstop flights to Martha's Vineyard from New York and to Nantucket from both Boston and New York.
