Marks & Spencer intends to nearly double the number of retail stores in India from 42 to 80 within two years. It opened its store close to the IT hub of Hyderabad. This is the 10th store in South India. It is planning to add two more in Hyderabad within two months.

Marks & Spencer Opens New Store at Edinburgh Airport

Marks & Spencer announced that Edinburgh Airport has a brand new M&S Simply Food store that officially opened at the airport on October 1, 2014. The company simply food stores bring M&S's food products to convenient travel locations. With a choice of flowers, wines, beers, spirits and chocolate also available, the new store may appeal customers looking to collect a couple of treats on the way home. The store will operate from 5.00am to 11.00pm daily. The company simply food has opened at Edinburgh Airport as part of an agreement between the company and SSP UK Rail. The first to open in the airport's new terminal extension, the store is part of a completely new shopping experience being offered at Scotland's busiest airport.

Marks & Spencer Opens Store in Central Square in Bonifacio High Street

On July 18, Marks & Spencer formally opened its 23rd store in the country in Central Square in Bonifacio High Street. The store is also the larger in the country, as well as its store. The new store has two floors, connected by a flight of stairs and an elevator, and boasts of 1,400 square meters of space. It features white walls with white brick accents, and currently stocks the beauty, menswear, womenswear, and lingerie collections. The store follows the design of new and remodeled M&S stores in the UK and across the world, following a modernization scheme that began in the early 2000s. The brand is planning to open another store in Cebu and in Capitol Commons, the last store for 2014.
