The new operations, located in the area's Ranjangaon industrial zone, manufactures specialty solid masterbatch and liquid color and additive formulations. The facility also includes development labs and the sales and customer service center for the region. Products produced at the facility serve multiple end markets, including transportation, healthcare, wire and cable and packaging.

PolyOne Corporation announced that its recent work with WaterStep has enabled the organization to assist a greater number of disaster victims and those in need around the globe. PolyOne's collaboration with the WaterStep team improved product design and performance for WaterStep's M-100 water purification system. Specifically, PolyOne's high impact Geon formulation increased durability of the system to facilitate air-drop deliveries into remote areas in distress or recovering from natural disasters. It also meets NSF potable water, UV and chemical resistance requirements.

PolyOne Corporation has announced that its Versaflex(TM) soft-touch materials for consumer electronics are now available in combination with its Percept(TM) Authentication Technologies. PolyOne's newly available formulation of technologies can help companies combat counterfeiting and reduce the risks associated with fraudulent goods such as phone cases, smart watches, headphones, earbuds and other wearable electronics. Percept technologies can be tailored to a wide variety of processing conditions, end-use applications, and authentication techniques based on overt, covert, or forensic-based approaches. These solutions enable companies to readily identify counterfeit products with easy-to-use methods based on additives and unique identifiers called taggants.
