Mathias Emmerich, Senior Vice President and General Secretary of Publicis Groupe has decided to pursue projects outside the Groupe. Elisabeth Ardaillon-Poirier will be joining Publicis Groupe as Senior Vice-President from May onwards. In this capacity, she will oversee Groupe communications, and corporate social responsibility and sustainable development policies. She will also coordinate and oversee the communications of the main subsidiaries at global level. She will take up her position in May 2013 and will be directly accountable to Maurice Lévy, the Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe. Anne-Gabrielle Heilbronner Senior Vice President has been named General Secretary. She will oversee Human Resources in addition to her current supervision of the legal department, and audit, internal control and compliance. In addition, Anne-Gabrielle Heilbronner is Secretary of the Supervisory Board. Elisabeth Ardaillon-Poirier is Adviser to the Executive Board of the European Central Bank.

Publicis Mulls Small Acquisition Opportunities Publicis Groupe SA (ENXTPA:PUB) will stick to making small acquisitions and could return cash to shareholders this year via a share buyback or special dividend, Maurice Levy, Chief Executive Officer of Publicis said. "In mature markets we believe that we have the right size and we don't plan to have more acquisitions in this field," Maurice Levy said. "We are directing most of our acquisitions in the fast growing markets, both in analogue and in digital fields, Maurice Levy added. Maurice Levy added, "What we have as targets today, they are all relatively small or medium sized acquisitions."

Publicis Groupe SA is known to be looking at acquiring a technology services company. It is understood that the potential acquisition target will be merged with Razorfish. Details of the rumored acquisition are expected over the next month.

Publicis Groupe reported revenue results for the first quarter of fiscal 2013. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of EUR 1,563 million against EUR 1,452 million for the same period a year ago.
