Sunrise Telecom Inc. Adds OAM and MPLS-TP Capabilities to RxT Ethernet Service Activation Platform
Mar 20 13
Sunrise Telecom Inc. announced the addition of OAM (Operations, Administration and Management) and MPLS Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) capabilities to its versatile RxT Smart Productivity Test Platform. Integrated into the RxT 10GE module, the new features enable service providers to successfully and efficiently deploy and maintain advanced Carrier Ethernet services such as LTE, IPTV and mobile backhaul. As Ethernet rapidly replaces legacy TDM services, enabling high-quality applications such as business services and wireless backhaul, service providers require a robust set of management tools to deploy and maintain their Ethernet service networks. Migration from legacy transport technologies to Ethernet demands the complete toolkit of fault detection and isolation tools now supported in the RxT-5000. Ideal for technicians who provision and assure end-to-end connectivity fault management (CFM) of Ethernet circuits for business services, the OAM features of the RxT 10GE include connectivity check messages, Ethernet loopback, and link trace generation and analysis. For testing cell site Ethernet backhaul and Ethernet business services, the RxT 10GE supports CFM testing based on IEEE 802.1ag and ITU Y.1731 standards. The RxT 10GE also now features testing of MPLS-TP services, an emerging Layer 2 transport technology, to verify that MPLS-TP services are properly configured for end-to-end OAM. Customer and control plane data verification is seamlessly included in the RxT 10GE module which means MPLS-TP and SLA verification can be determined simultaneously, increasing the efficiency of both installation and network troubleshooting.
Sunrise Telecom Inc. Announces Performance-Enhancing Upgrades to CATV Test Platforms
Feb 4 13
Sunrise Telecom Inc. announced the release of a major firmware upgrade for the CM3000 Cable Modem Network and Spectrum Analyzer and CM3800 Sweep System and DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Network Analyzer. Available for new or field deployed CM3000 and CM3800 test platforms, the new firmware update (version 2.23) provides significant capabilities enhancing the technician's ability to analyze and troubleshoot the RF and fiber distribution network. New features include the fastest spectrum display with a 0.3 Sec sample rate and 100 mSec sweep rate to capture even the shortest bust of ingress, impulse noise or electrical interference in the upstream path. In addition, equalizer stress, frequency response and group delay measurements have been added to the cable modem and digital video analyzer functions.
Sunrise Telecom Inc. to Unveil RxT-2500
Nov 7 12
Sunrise Telecom Inc. announced that the company will be showcasing its portfolio of test and measurement solutions for business services and mobile backhaul applications at OSP Expo 2012. OSP EXPO is the only telecom trade show that takes attendees deep into the heart of everything network related, from FTTCs and Wireless Backhaul to the aggressive evolution toward 100G. Attendees can meet with telecom professionals who are showcasing new methods and best practices for solutions. At the Expo, Sunrise Telecom will demonstrate key test capabilities of the RxT Smart Productivity Test Platform which help facilitate and assure network deployments for business services and mobile backhaul. These capabilities include OAM (Operations, Administration and Maintenance) and MPLS-TP (MPLS Transport Profile) along with IntelliSAM(TM), the most comprehensive ITU-T Y.1564 (Carrier Ethernet Service Activation) solution in the market today. OAM is critical for mobile backhaul and business services as they move from traditional TDM networks to IP networks. The feature ensures that packet networks will offer the same level of Operation, Administration, Maintenance and Protection features as legacy SDH/SONET networks. Sunrise Telecom will also unveil the RxT-2500, its new Dual GigE Module for the RxT Platform. The new module will help technicians verify service level agreements, traffic prioritization and VoIP services. In addition, the company will also showcase Ethernet over Copper (EoC) deployment solution which enables network operators to deploy and validate SHDSL.bis protocols, affording maximum bandwidth from existing copper infrastructures. Sunrise Telecom will also demonstrate advanced features of the RxT-2600 module, the only four-port advanced EoC test solution on the market.
Sunrise Telecom Inc. to Showcase Cable Test and Measurement Solutions at SCTE Cable-Tec EMPO
Oct 9 12
Sunrise Telecom Inc. announced a series of new feature enhancements and capabilities to its realWORX(R) Web Performance Verification System, CM3000 family of cable modem network analyzers, and AT2500 spectrum analyzer. The company will demonstrate these new capabilities and will showcase its portfolio of cable and telecommunications test and measurement solutions next week at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo (booth 2321), October 17-19, at the Orange County Convention Center. Accessible from anywhere via web-connected devices, including smart phones, the system enables RF network managers to provide proactive customer service and assurance by delivering notification of network issues before they affect customers. realWORX WEB 4.0 offers the utmost in convenience and flexibility for engineers, technicians and network managers. Being debuted at SCTE Expo is the addition of the fast spectrum feature to the company's CM3000 Spectrum Analyzer. For those deploying, troubleshooting and maintaining today's most advanced DOCSIS 3.0 networks, the new scanning capability allows technicians to view hard-to-identify impulse noise and electrical interference. The advanced DSP spectrum analyzer captures signals with duration as short as 0.3 uSec enabling technicians to identify and troubleshoot ingress impairments in the upstream not seen using common test equipment. The company will be demonstrating its recently-released cloud-based realPOP SaaS report generator application. When used with the AT2500 spectrum analyzer, realPOP dramatically simplifies FCC report generation, freeing technicians and engineers from tedious data entry and analysis. The combination of the AT2500 AT-Web one-button, best-in-class analog and digital POP measurements and the CM3 series 24-hour test capabilities, realPOP significantly reduces the time required for testing and report generation by over 90%.
