United Fire Group Inc. declared a common stock quarterly cash dividend of $0.18 per share. This is a 20% increase from the prior quarterly dividend of $0.15 per share. This dividend will be payable June 14, 2013, for shareholders of record as of May 31, 2013.

Income before income taxes was $29,850,000 compared to $24,876,000 a year ago. Net income was $22,393,000 or $0.88 per diluted share compared to $19,184,000 or $0.75 per diluted share a year ago. Return on equity was 12.0% compared to 10.8% a year ago. Book Value per share was $30.01 as on March 31, 2013.
