Visteon has opened a research and development (R&D) centre in China in association with Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems Co. The R&D centre, in the Jiangning development zone in Nanjing city in the eastern province of Jiangsu, will provide complete electronics solutions for different auto manufacturers on the domestic market, and will be dedicated to developing world-class auto electronic products, according to the report.

Visteon Corporation (NYSE:VC) confirmed it is currently engaged in discussions with Hahn & Company regarding a potential sale of Halla Visteon Climate Control Corp. (KOSE:A018880) to the Korea-based private equity company. There can be no assurance that these discussions will result in any transaction or on what terms any such transaction may occur. Visteon undertakes no obligation to provide further updates and does not intend to comment further regarding the discussions or other strategic alternatives involving HVCC until such time as its board of directors has determined that disclosure is appropriate.
Visteon Reportedly Signs Agreement To Sell Halla Visteon

Visteon Corporation (NYSE:VC) has signed a preliminary deal to sell 69.99% stake in Halla Visteon Climate Control Corp. (KOSE:A018880). Visteon has signed a preliminary deal with a local private equity firm for $3.6 billion, Korean media reports said. The Korea Economic Daily said Visteon plans to sign a final deal with Hahn & Company in December 2014, without citing the source of the information. The deal value was estimated at around KRW 4 trillion, the report said. Reuters reported that officials at Halla Visteon and Hahn & Company declined to comment.
