Before joining Arysta as Chief Operating Officer in November 2003, he served as the Head of Marketing and Technical Support Operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at ICI. During the 1990s, Dr. Richards gained a unique perspective on the global life sciences industry, through a series of challenging assignments: Regional Executive for Latin America; Global Product and Portfolio Manager; General Manager for Japan, Korea and Australasia; Managing Director of Teijin Agrochemicals (Japan) Ltd.; Global Sector Leader for Insecticides; and General Manager responsible for Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Throughout these years, in many demanding markets, Dr. Richards consistently grew earnings, created successful partnerships, streamlined business processes and revitalized product lines. He has been the Chairman of Arysta LifeScience Corporation since January 7, 2010. He has been the Non-Executive Chairman of Plant Health Care since August 1, 2012. He has been an Independent Non-Executive Director at Dechra Pharmaceuticals plc since December 1, 2010. He has been Non-Executive Chairman and a Director of Oxitec Limited since January 1, 2012.
