Bora Laskin, Chief Justice of Canada, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1978. He holds Honorary Doctorate of University of Ottawa and Carleton University. He was granted the designation C. Dir. (Chartered Director) by McMaster University in February 2006. He was awarded the University Gold Medal at University of Ottawa. Hon. Manley graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He studied at l'Université Lausanne - École de français moderne in 1972 and then Graduated in law at University of Ottawa in 1976.
