In December 1998, she became Regional President of Central California of Wells Fargo & Company after the merger of Norwest Corporation and Wells Fargo and served as a Group Executive Vice President since 2001. She began her career at United Bank of Denver in the credit training program and became a corporate banking officer. In 1986, she joined Norwest Bank Nebraska. She served as a Vice President of Corporate Banking, a Vice President of Loan Administration managing credit process review, problem loan administration and credit training, and Senior Vice President, managing Downtown Omaha Retail banking, Nebraska's sales development and marketing. She serves on the Board of Directors of Consumer Bankers Association and the California Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Tolstedt graduated from the University of Nebraska with a BS degree in Business Administration and completed the Pacific Coast Banking School, University of Washington.
