From 1995 to 1997, she was the Associate General Counsel of GTE Corporation, a global telecommunications company, where she headed the legal department's mergers and acquisitions practice group. Ms. Stanley began her career as a Corporate Associate with Cravath, Swaine and Moore, working in its New York and London offices. She serves as Trustee of Hospital for Special Surgery, Inc. Ms. Stanley holds a Bachelors degree from Duke University, where she majored in Public Policy Studies with a concentration in Mathematics and a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School, where she was an Editor of the Harvard Law Review.
