He was a Vice President and Division Manager in Real Estate at the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago. Mr. Gellein has been the Chairman since August 2010, Director, Chairperson of Executive Committee, Member of Corporate Governance Committee, Member of Nominating Committee, and Member of Compensation Committee of Strategic Hotels & Resorts, Inc. He joined the firm’s board in August 2009. Mr. Gellein is the Chairman of the American Resort Development Association. He has been a Director of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corp since November 2011. Mr. Gellein serves as a Director of the Florida Chapter of Junior Achievement. He served as Lead Independent Director of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corp. until April 2013. He served as a Director of Starwood Vacation Ownership Inc. from 1999 to 2008. Mr. Gellein holds an MBA in Finance, Accounting, and Marketing from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology from Denison University.
