Dr. Afeyan also received a Technology Pioneer 2012 award from the World Economic Forum in recognition of the breakthrough solar fuel technology being developed at Joule Unlimited. He has authored numerous publications and patents, is a frequent guest speaker at technology forums throughout the country, and is a Senior Lecturer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management, where he has taught the M.B.A. program’s primary entrepreneurship course since 2000. Dr. Afeyan holds a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1987 and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
