Background*

Mr. Abdallah bin Salih bin Jum'Ah served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Arabian Oil Company (formerly, Saudi Aramco) at Aramco Services Company, Inc. from November 1995 to December 31, 2008. Mr. Jum'Ah joined Saudi Arabian Oil Co., in 1968. For over several years, he held positions of increasing responsibility, moving to the Power Systems department of Saudi Arabian Oil Company in 1977, where he began a series of leadership assignments that involved ... him in the formation of the Saudi Consolidated Electric Company (SCECO) in the Eastern Province. He was elected as Aramco Vice President of Power Systems in 1981 and concurrently served as the first Saudi Managing Director of SCECO East. He served as Vice President of Employee Relations and Training of SCECO since 1983 and served as Vice President of Government Affairs from 1984 to 1987. Mr. Jum'ah served as Senior Vice President of Industrial Relations at Saudi Arabian Oil Company since 1988. In 1991, he moved to Saudi Arabian Oil Company's International Operations, where he became Executive Vice President a year later and led the development and expansion of its international sales and marketing capabilities. From March 2007 to 2009, he was elected Vice Chairman of the International Advisory Board at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of The Saudi Investment Bank. He has been a Director of Halliburton Company since July 15, 2010. He serves a Director of Saudi Arabian Supreme Council of Petroleum and Mineral Affairs. He serves as a Director of Aramco Services Company (USA), Saudi Refining, Inc. (USA), Saudi Petroleum International, Inc. (USA), Motiva Enterprises (USA), S-Oil Corporation (Korea), Petron Corporation (Philippines) and Motor Oil (Hellas) Corinth Refineries S.A. (Greece). Mr. Jum'ah has been a Trustee of the American University in Cairo since 1998. He served as a Director of Saudi Arabian Oil Company from 1994 to December 31, 2008. In December 2007, he was appointed by King Abdullah to serve on the supreme committee of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). He was an athlete and is actively involved in promoting voluntary community service. In 2003, he was identified by Fortune magazine as one of the most influential business people in the world, and in January 2005, he was appointed energy community leader by the World Economic Forum. He was selected as winner of the prestigious Petroleum Executive of the Year Award for 2005. In April 2007, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate by Hankuk University in Seoul, Korea. Mr. Jum'ah is a graduate of the American University of Beirut. He completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard University in 1976. He studied political Science at the American University in Cairo.
