Between 1967 and 1997, Mr. Bai held the positions of technician and secretary in Factory No. 12 of Shenyang Northeast Pharmaceutical Main Factory Workshop, personnel director in State Pharmaceutical Administration and Production Association, deputy director in the Technical Department, board officer, deputy director of personnel and deputy director and director of Politics and Law departments of the State Pharmaceutical Administration and chief engineer in China Xinxing Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology Development Corporation. Before Mr. Bai’s retirement in March 2005, he served as the director of drug safety supervision division of State Food and Drug Administration, where he was primarily responsible for national pharmaceutical research and production and supervision of special drugs. He has been independent director of Shanghai Pharma Group and Gansu Duyiwei Biological Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. since January 2010 and December 2006 respectively. He has been an Independent Non-executive Director of Sihuan Pharmaceutical Holdings Group Ltd. since October 7, 2010 and Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd. since March 31, 2010. Mr. Bai finished his undergraduate education in organic chemistry from Beijing University of Technology in August 1968 and is recognized by SFDA as a senior engineer.
