He was responsible for all of the IBM's consumer products and services for the home and family market. He joined IBM in 1995, helping launch a new division to develop and market hardware, software and multimedia products. He served as President of Consumer Services at Ameritech Corporation from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, Mr. Firestone served with American Express Company, where he served as President of Travelers Cheques since1993, Executive Vice President of Small Business and Corporate Services from 1989 to 1993, President of Travel Related Services, Japan from 1984 to 1989 snf Vice President of Finance and Planning, Travel Related Services, Japan from 1982 to 1984. He held various other positions at American Express in Japan and at their headquarters from 1978 to 1982. Mr. Firestone has been a Non-Management Director of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. since December 03, 2007. He has been Director of Goodyear India Ltd since 2007. He has been an Independent Director of The Nomura Partners Fund (formerly The Japan Fund Inc) since July 2005, and Global Imaging Systems Inc. since May 9, 2007. He serves as Director of Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd. and previously served as its Director from October 2002 to 2004. Mr. Firestone received a BS degree in International Economics from Georgetown University School of Foreign Services and a Master of public and private management from the Yale University School of Management.
