Dr. Bruno Ferrari García de Alba, Ph.D., J.D., is an Operating Partner of Paine & Partners since 2013. Dr. Ferrari was previously an Operating Director at the Predecessor Firm and also Chief Executive Officer of Seminis. Dr. Ferrari was most recently the Secretary of Economy in Mexico. He served from July 2010 to November 2013 and was responsible for a wide agenda, including the domestic economic policy and the international trade policy of Mexico. In 2007, Dr. Ferrari ... was invited by Mexican President Felipe Calderón to become part of his economic cabinet, responsible for the design and implementation of a strategy to foster economic activity leveraged in a broad international approach of business promotion and investments. He founded the Mexican Agency for trade and investment promotion, ProMexico, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer by President Felipe Calderon. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Ferrari served as Head of the Unit for Economic Relations and International Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico. Dr. Ferrari has had a successful career in a variety of industries focused on agribusiness in different parts of the world and has received numerous awards from governments including Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Colombia, Chile and the United States. Dr. Ferrari also previously held executive positions at Grupo Pulsar. Dr. Ferrari serves on the Boards of Directors of Costa Group Holdings Pty Ltd. and Sunrise Holdings (Delaware) Inc. He serves as a Director of Instituto del Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores (Infonavit), Nacional Financiera SNC Institucion de Banca de Desarrollo and Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior SNC. He served as a Director of Petroleos Mexicanos. Dr. Ferrari is a Ph.D. in Law from the Roman Academic Center of the Holy Cross, a J.D. from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Law from the Laternance University.
