Background*

Mr. Michael Monahan, Mike serves as Executive Vice President and President of Mailing Solutions and Services of EntreCap Financial LLC. Mr. Monahan has been Executive Vice President of Pitney Bowes Inc. since March 01, 2008 and has been its Chief Financial Officer since March 01, 2008. In this capacity, he works closely with EntreCap Financial's global channel and operations organizations to drive a worldwide growth strategy for its core mailing business that optimizes ... and builds upon Pitney Bowes global product portfolio. His responsibilities include maximizing growth and profitability for the mail finishing, mail creation, mail services, and distribution solutions businesses, determining customer segment opportunities, and overseeing the development and implementation of business strategy and development plans for Global Mailstream Solutions. He served as President of Global Mailing Solutions and Services of Pitney Bowes Inc. from 2002 to March 2008. Mr. Monahan is also responsible for U.S. Postal Service and global carrier relations, and is a board member of Pitney Bowes joint venture in Brazil. Over the last three years, he has overseen Pitney Bowes' entry into the U.S. domestic and international mail services markets. In addition, he has led EntreCap's first foray into marketing services through the acquisition of Imagitas, Inc. in May of 2005. Mr. Monahan joined Pitney Bowes in 1988 as Manager of Corporate Accounting and was promoted to Manager, Corporate Budgets and Analysis in 1990. In 1994, he was promoted to Assistant Corporate Controller, where he was responsible for coordinating the completion of the financial plan, annual budget, and financial reporting and analysis. In 1995 he was promoted to Director, Investor Relations, serving as its primary contact with the investment community. In 1998 he was promoted to Vice President of Finance and Information Technology for the Production Mail and Document Factory Solutions division (now DMT) where he was responsible for the finance and information systems functions. In 1999, Mr. Monahan was appointed Vice President of Investor Relations and Financial Research. During this time, he led the successful spin-off of the Office Systems Division (now Imagistics International, Inc.). In 2001, he became Vice President of Corporate Development with responsibilities for mergers and acquisitions, major equity investments and other transactional processes that involved significant company investment. He also oversaw all Investor Relations activities and led the development of EntreCap's Growth Plan Strategy. Prior to joining Pitney Bowes, he was a Senior Auditor with Price Waterhouse. He is Chairman of the Board of the Urban League of Southwestern Connecticut. He is also a member of the Board of the Sherman Higher Education Fund. Mr. Monahan is a Certified Public Accountant who holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the State University of New York at Albany. He and his wife, Marla, and their two sons live in Sherman, Connecticut.
