Mr. Barry N. Bycoff was a Venture Partner of FirstMark Capital, L.L.C. Mr. Bycoff was a Venture Partner of Pequot Ventures from May 2005 to July 2007. He joined FirstMark Ventures (formerly Pequot Ventures) in 2005 to assist portfolio companies with their operation and to make selected investments. Mr. Bycoff is an Investment Professional of Pequot Capital Management Inc. He has over 25 years of experience in the computer and software industry. In 1996, he founded Netegrity ... Inc. and created a new product category for enterprise security software. He served as Chairman of the Board of Netegrity Inc. from November 1999 to November 2004 and Chief Executive Officer and President from April 1993 to November 2004. Mr. Bycoff engineered the transformation of Netegrity's predecessor company into a leading developer of enterprise software. His history with Netegrity dates back to 1993, when he became Chief Executive Officer of Software Developer's Corporation (SDC). During his lengthy tenure in the computer and software industry, he has demonstrated his ability for building companies into highly profitable market leaders. Prior to leading Netegrity, Mr. Bycoff served as Chief Operating Officer at MapInfo Corporation (MAPS), where he spent 3 years developing this company into the leader in the geographic information systems market. Before that, he served at Prime Computer where he served as Vice President of Marketing and ran several business units. He served as Co-Chair of Chief Executive Officer Taskforce on Cyber Security at TechNet. He began his career at Gillette Company in the IT and Financial Organizations. He has been Chairman of the Board of Aveksa Inc. since March 2007. He has been Chairman of the Board of Day Software Holding AG since August 2009. Mr. Bycoff served as Executive Chairman of Progress Software Corp. from March 30, 2009 to April 2011. Mr. Bycoff serves as a Director of Pequot Ventures and IONA Technologies Plc. He has been a Director of Progress Software Corp. since May 2007 and Day Software Holding AG since May 19, 2009. He serves as a Director of StubHub Inc. and Aveksa. He serves on the Board of Directors for a number of technology companies. He served as a Director of Authoria Inc. (now Peopleclick Authoria, Inc.). Mr. Bycoff served as a Director of Netegrity Inc., since April 1993. He serves on Board of Visitors at Duke University Pratt School of Engineering. He has made many appearances on television and at industry events. He was named Ernst and Young's 2001 New England Entrepreneur of the Year in the Software Category. Mr. Bycoff holds a BA in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and an MBA from Boston University as a Research Fellow.
