Mr. Cohen served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Northwest Airlines Corp., and its subsidiary, Northwest Airlines Inc., since May 3, 2005. At Northwest, his responsibilities included corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, accounting, investor relations, purchasing, fuel management, tax, insurance and fleet planning. He held a number of executive positions at Northwest, including Senior Vice President and Treasurer and worked there for nine years. From 1991 to 2000, he held a number of senior marketing and finance positions at Northwest Airlines, including Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Vice President of Market Planning. He joined US Airways Group Inc., and US Airways Inc., in April 2002 and served as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from April 2002 to April 2004, where he led merger and acquisition activities, restructuring, and profitability and growth initiatives. Mr. Cohen served as the Chief Financial Officer of Budget Group Inc. He spent seven years at General Motors' New York treasurer's office. Mr. Cohen has been a Director of Republic Airways Holdings Inc. since October 27, 2009. He serves as a Director of Meritas LLC and AIX Holding Co., Inc. Mr. Cohen holds a Master of Business Administration in finance and accounting and Bachelor degrees in politics, economics, rhetoric and law from the University of Chicago.
