Mr. Belk is a graduate of Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, and received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1981. He is an Elder at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. He is the son of the late Thomas M. Belk and Katherine McKay Belk Cook and grandson of William Henry Belk.
