In 1986, he was recommended and selected and chosen to study in the 4th training seminar of the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC for party and government cadres. He served as Independent Director of China Yangtze Power Co. Ltd. He is a Geologist. Mr. Wu graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ocean University of China, majoring in Marine Geology in 1989. He also holds a Master's Degree in Economics and Management from Central Communist Party School, the PRC and a Master's Degree in Management from China Petroleum University.
