Background*

Mr. Anthony J. Hopp, Tony has been Senior Adviser of Campbell-Ewald Company since January 2010. Mr. Hopp served as Chairman of the Board of Campbell-ewald Company of Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. since 1997 and its Chief Executive Officer from 1996 to January 2010. Mr. Hopp also serves as Chairman of American Association Of Advertising Agencies Inc. He devoted his entire career to Campbell-Ewald and its clients and was named President in 1993, Vice Chairman and ... Chief Operating Officer in 1995. He joined the agency in 1968 as an Assistant Account Executive, working on a wide range of accounts, including: Ex-Cell-O, Kelly Services, Libbey-Owens-Ford, Rockwell International-Admiral and WJR Radio. In 1975, as Vice President, Account Supervisor, he headed the Phoenix office where he managed the Ramada Inns account. Mr. Hopp returned to Detroit in 1977 to assume senior management responsibilities on the Chevrolet account. Eleven years later, he was named Executive Vice President, Chevrolet Account Director, heading the agency's largest account. He served as the Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Advertising Agencies. He is on the board of the Michigan Advertising Industry Alliance and is a member of the Detroit Leadership Committee of the Advertising Council. Mr. Hopp served as Member of the Board of Directors of Campbell-ewald Company and The Advertising Council, Inc. He has served on the boards of the American Advertising Federation and the Adcraft Club of Detroit. He graduated from Michigan State University with an M.A. in advertising with a marketing emphasis and a B.A. in advertising with a minor in psychology. In 2001, he received Michigan State University's Distinguished Alumni Award.
