He served as the Chairman of ACE Tempest Re from June 2003 to May 2004. He served as a Vice Chairman of ACE Limited from November 2001 to June 2003 and American Insurance Association (del). He has been an Independent Director of The Coca-Cola Company since February 17, 2011. He has been an Executive Director of ACE Limited since August 2002. Mr. Greenberg served as a Provisional Director of Assured Guaranty Ltd. since August 2003 and also served as a Member of Board of Directors at AIG. He is a Director at ACE USA, Inc. Mr. Greenberg serves as Vice Chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council and Chairman of the P&C CEO Roundtable. He serves as a Trustee of Lauder Institute and trustee of the Eisenhower Fellowships. He also serves as a Member of the Business Roundtable. He serves as a Director of US-China Business Council, Inc and Financial Services Roundtable. He served as a Director of Philharmonic-Symphony Society of New York, Inc. He serves as a Member of Council on Foreign Relations, Asia Society President's Circle and Nixon Center.
